Organic Turkish Cotton Throws

Turkish throws are traditional throws made in Turkey on looms with 100% Turkish cotton. The origins of Turkish throws date to about the 7th century A.D. The best Turkish hrows are made with tightly woven cotton in a flat, waffle, or Muslin woven fabric. They are a smaller version of the larger size Turkish blankets and look as good laying on a couch as they do in a reading room. Soft and comfortable, these throws will keep you warm but not overheated while relaxing around the house. Although Peshtemal is fairly new to America, it does have a very rich cultural background. Being around many centuries gave different cultures a chance to find other uses for this common Household item. From living rooms to poolside to camping, they are an essential item in Mediterranean daily life.
